Legendary rockers FOALS have recently graced The Hordern Pavilion for an absolutely unforgettable sideshow before their ‘Splendour in the Grass’ gig.

The Oxford quartet was supported by mainstay rocker quartet Warpaint, making for a match made in music heaven.

Otherworldy waves of guitars were all-abound, and we have some fresh new pics to share with you from the event.

FOALS

FOALS never play around, and they delivered under red lights to a sea of adoring fans. Their 2015 album, What Went Down, has been heralded as one of the decades best, and has even received praise as one of the greatest album covers in the last few years.

Get your daily dose of metal, rock, indie, pop, and everything else in between.

33-year-old Yannis Philippakis proved that not only can he rock out with the best of them, but he also looks incredible with rolled-up sleeves. Perhaps the perfect man does exist.

FOALS

Awash in a sea of blue, FOALS performed new songs from their 2019 project Part One – Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, the first part to their two-part album. The followup is set for a release sometime later this year.

WARPAINT

Warpaint are no strangers to taking the stage and gracing it with their presence. Their sound is quite unmatched by any other band around today, and they showcased how they could still impress an audience of people who were mainly there for FOALS. Many new fans were born this day.

WARPAINT

It’s been a long time waiting for new Warpaint music, with their last full-length project dropping in 2016. Every one of the bands albums have received widespread praise, as the band constantly evolve upon their already unique blend of otherworldly guitars and dizzying melodies.
