One of Australia’s most revered rock outfits will be hitting the road this year, with Sydney icons Radio Birdman announcing a headline tour.

If you’ve ever tried to give yourself a bit of a history lesson in Aussie rock, you would have undoubtedly heard of the phenomenal Radio Birdman.

First formed by Deniz Tek and Rob Younger back in 1974, Radio Birdman rose to fame with a number of low-key releases before their debut album, Radios Appear, was released in 1977.

With their debut album since considered an iconic piece of Australian rock history, the group would breakup soon after, with a few reunions resulting in new music from the band over the years.

Now, following a relatively consistent reunion period since 2014, Radio Birdman are set to hit the road once again this year, hitting up Aussie venues with Perth garage rock outfit The Stems.

The fun doesn’t end there though, with Spanish rockers Los Chicos joining the band for performances in Brisbane, Coolangatta, and Melbourne, while The Langlangs join the bill in Sydney, and The Sunday Reeds open proceedings in Adelaide.

Tickets to Radio Birdman’s upcoming tour are on sale now, so be sure to get in quick to avoid missing out on one of the finest Aussie rock bands in music history performing live.
