Last month, Dave Grohl reunited with the medic that tended to his leg after he famously broke it in June 2015. The Foo Fighters returned to Sweden as part of the country’s inaugural edition of Lollapalooza festival.

The band were halfway through their set when Grohl noticed that Dr. Johan Sampson was in the audience.

“There he is, motherfucker,” Grohl screamed, before urging the crowd to sing the song towards the man of the moment before inviting him onstage.

Sampson soon graced the stage with the band, sharing vocal duties with the band on the fitting track ‘My Hero’.

Grohl recently rocked up to Sunny Coast slackers The Chats Los Angeles show, alongside Queens of the Stone Age’ Josh Homme and Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner.

It was Dave Grohl who introduced Josh Homme to the okka charms of The Chats — who ended up supporting Queens of the Stone Age on their Australian run.

“They have an utterly Australian song called ‘Smoko’,” Homme explained in an interview on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe. “I saw it, and Dave Grohl turned it on to me, and then the next thing I know I’m playing it for Iggy [Pop],” he continued. “And I told them that and their jaws were just like completely open.”
