Starcrawler wants to live in your nightmares with their new video for ‘Bet My Brains’, which features murder, make-up, and mania.
Los Angeles rock band Starcrawler, who have been kicking ass since 2015, are back with their unique brand of urgent and frantic pop punk, releasing the video for their single ‘Bet My Brains’ from their upcoming project Devour You.
The video, which features lush gardens, bus stops, staircases and murder, was produced by Nick Launay, who has worked with the likes of Nick Cave and the Arctic Monkeys. Underneath the clip, the band has written: “‘Bet My Brains’ distills Starcrawler down to its essence with a massive guitar riff, rollicking drums and a widescreen performance by Arrow de Wilde that illustrates just how ready this band is to explode into the mainstream,” and we can’t help but agree.
Arrow de Wilde is explosive as the band’s frontwoman, both in her screaming vocals and energetic presence. Every member of Starcrawler manages to make the zaniness of the video clip look almost fun and enjoyable, as if you’re the voyeur in the bushes who doesn’t get to join in the joy of the madness.

It hasn’t been long since the band’s last musical releases, cementing the fact that they really don’t quit.
2018’s ‘I Love LA’ put the band on the map, and it’s been all eyes on them ever since. The video for that song was equally as iconic as the video for ‘Bet My Brains’, and has been cemented in our minds ever since we first laid eyes upon it. Starcrawler just have a knack for perfectly characteristic visuals.
Only just this year they released the song ‘Pet Sematary’, for the soundtrack of the movie of the same name, based on the book by Stephen King.
Starcrawler’s forthcoming album Devour You, will be released on Oct 11th through Rough Trade.
