Northlane’s fifth album and opus, Alien, is now available to one and all, and judging by some of the numbers their content is clicking over, fans simply can’t get enough of the new material.
Now, just as all good content creators do in 2019, Northlane have announced a brand-new podcast series: Northlane – The Podcast, with the intention of adding even further texture to the band’s story through the deep-dive format.
Kicking off today with a brief but punchy trailer, Northlane – The Podcast is a series hosted by Kerrang Radio Breakfast host Sophie K, and will feature new episodes weekly.
Each week, fans will be privy to an intimate, no-stone-unturned discussion about the climate and situation that led to the creation of Alien. Featuring interviews with all band members, Northlane – The Podcast will give further meaning and context to the stories contained within the record.
It’s well-documented now that Alien is a shockingly honest look at the traumatic childhood of vocalist Marcus Bridge. The stories have been laid out, clear for all to see, as well as peppered throughout the record. Northlane – The Podcast will no doubt be an opportunity for Bridge to connect all those dots in a long-form and gripping manner.
The series will also allow the band to explore all the other externalities, both positive and negative, that helped shape the record, as well as some of the internal influences.
Much like the Better Call Saul podcast, or the Chernobyl podcast, Northlane – The Podcast is sure to be an essential element of the Alien experience and a must have for any Northlane completist nerd, of which there are plenty of us out there.
Northlane will be hitting the road in support of Alien very soon, with a run of Australian headline dates locked in for October.
