Fans of post-hardcore titans Pierce The Veil have been waiting with bated breath for announcements from the group, who have been teasing new happenings of late.

Recently, vocalist Vic Fuentes has been g’ing up an announcement regarding ‘something special’ and today we found out what that something was; Fuentes is now the co-chair and CEO of not-for-profit organisation Living The Dream Foundation.

On their official website, Living The Dream Foundation list their mission statement as making “dreams come true for children and young adults living with life-threatening illnesses.”

As per Billboard who broke the announcement, Fuentes has been within the orbit of Living The Dream Foundation for around three years, having served as an ambassador after first crossing paths with the foundation while on Warped Tour.

The concept behind the foundation is simple, but powerful. Teaming up with events such as Warped Tour and genre-defining artists including The Used and Avenged Sevenfold, as well as other culturally-important names such as the LA Lakers, and surfing legend Rob Machado, Living The Dream aims to connect sick or differently-abled fans meet their favourite musicians, sports stars or other celebrities.

Speaking to Billboard about his latest appointment, Fuentes stated, “I’ve never run a non-profit before, but I’ve learned a lot by working with Living the Dream over the years.

“When the foundation wanted to move forward together, I saw it as a crossroad in my life, and I chose making it a bigger part of my life. I didn’t see it coming, but my heart is fully in it.”

As co-chair / CEO, Fuentes has his work cut out for him with his first mission involving “reviving, relaunching and rebranding the whole thing.”

While this may not have been the announcement regarding the follow up to 2016’s Misadventures that fans were expecting, nonetheless, seeing our boy take out a CEO role and retaining his heart of gold is the kind of goodness we so sorely need right now.
