Grimes has shared a teaser for the first new single off her forthcoming record, Miss_AnthropoceneThe teaser was released in conjunction with an ad for the musician’s Adidas collaboration with Stella McCartney.

The glitchy preview features sound effects from the popular game, Minecraft, because of course it does. Check it out below.

Miss_Anthropocene is the first full-length offering from Boucher since her 2015 record, Art Angels. An album that we all considered to be a pop masterpiece, but one that Grimes has argued is  “A piece of crap,” and “a stain on my life.”

Miss_Anthropocene is yet to recieve an official release date. Boucher has described it as “a concept album about the anthropomorphic goddess of climate Change.”

Recently, Grimes released a demo version of her track ‘Pretty Dark,’ and her nü-metal inflected track ‘We Appreciate Power.’  She also collaborated with Sheffield metalcore royalty Bring Me The Horizon, on their amo track ‘nihilist blues.’

Last month, in a bizarre Instagram post detailing her collaboration with Stella McCartney, the musician detailed her strenuous and absurd wellness regime. The most confronting revelation in the post was the startling confession that Grimes removed part of her eyeball to “cure seasonal depression.”

“I have also eliminated all blue light from my vision through an experimental surgery that removes the top film of my eyeball and replaces it with an orange ultra-flex polymer that my friend and I made in the lab this past winter as a means to cure seasonal depression,” the post read.

The Stella McCartney collaboration aims to highlight sustainability and environmental consciousness.
