In March, former Slipknot drummer Chris Fehn sued the rest of the band over, surprise, a money dispute.

Originally, Fehn claimed that he had discovered his bandmates had cheated him out of a significant amount of money after leading him to believe that money earned from merch and touring was channelled through one company that would pay the band.

The drummer, who had been with the band since 1998, claimed that other Slipknot-connected business were collecting money from the band, and that he never saw any profits from them.

Calling out Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan in particular for their dealings in it all, Fehn’s lawsuit now has a reply from the band’s frontman and percussionist.

Documents obtained by The Blast have seen Taylor and Crahan demand Fehn’s lawsuit to be thrown out of court, both claiming that the suit was filed in the wrong court to begin with. Filed in New York, the musicians allege that the band recorded no Slipknot albums in the city, nor did they sign any contracts there.

“Other than infrequent performances in New York when the band has been on national and international tours, Crahan and Taylor simply have no presence in New York.” the statement reads.

Slipknot’s latest album, We Are Not Your Kind‘, was released in August and is the first to not feature Fehn. Acclaimed, the record has been described as one of the band’s best yet.
