The godfathers of Australian pub rock, Cold Chisel, have announced they’re heading around the country next year for a mammoth national tour. The band are set to play a slew of epic outdoor summer dates over the new year.
The band have enlisted the help of some of the antipodes greatest music legends including Paul Kelly, Birds of Tokyo, Magic Dirt, Hoodoo Gurus, Troy Cassar Daley, The Teskey Brothers, Jebediah, The Mutton Birds, Kacey Chambers and more.
Jimmy Barnes promises that the spectacle will be “bigger, better, brighter and faster than anything else out there.”
The band have also revealed that they have plans to release a single in celebration of the tour. Whilst Jimmy Barnes has let slip that there will hopefully be “a new album by Christmas.”
Back in June, it was revealed that the band were “putting the band back together” after they shared a photo in the studio, implicating that they were working on new material. The band’s last album was 2015’s The Perfect Crime.
