More than two years on from their last visit, alt-rock icons Everclear have announced a run of Australian tour dates for 2020.
Back in 2017, Everclear revealed plans to head back to Australia in support of the 20th anniversary of their 1997 album, So Much For The Afterglow. A brilliant tour as always, these shows left fans hoping that another tour wouldn’t be too far off.
Since then, we received word that frontman Art Alexakis had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, leaving some fans worrying about whether another tour may indeed happen. However, after the band were announced on the 2020 Hotter Than Hell tour, their fears were quickly assuaged.
Now, Everclear have revealed they’ll be sticking around just a little bit longer in Australia, dropping a run of headline dates earlier today.

“Australia has always been a very special place for Everclear,” Alexakis explained. “We can’t wait to come back, play our music, and reconnect with our Australian fans.
“They’ve always been so enthusiastic and faithful to us and our music that even though the distance is so far from where we live, every time we come back to Australia it feels like we’re coming home.”
Kicking off in Newcastle on January 30th, the band are set to travel around the country, performing additional shows in New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria, the ACT, Queensland, and Western Australia, in addition to their previously-announced Hotter Than Hell dates.
