The first Dixie Chicks studio album in 14 years, titled Gaslighter, may be with us sooner than we thought.
And Dixie Chicks lead-singer Natalie Maines is having fun being a bit of a tease!
Earlier this week, Maines posted what appears to be footage from a music video for an upcoming single release.
“Gaslighter, I’m your mirror/standing right here until you can see how/ you broke me, yeah I’m broken/still sorry and still no apology,” Maines appears to sing in the video.
The only hint Maines gave about the timing of the release, as that it will be “soon” and in “#2020.”
Last year, on the Spiritualgasm podcast Maines hinted that the new album was in partly inspired by her ongoing divorce from actor Adrian Pasdar.

“Songwriting is really hard for me, and I think for many years, I didn’t want to analyze my life or my relationship,” she said on the podcast.
“I was just in it and dedicated and devoted, and if I had started writing songs about it … I don’t want to say I was in a ‘survival mode,’ but I was just not ready to open up like that.”
Pop hitmaker Jack Antonoff is the album’s producer.
Last year, the Dixie Chicks recorded a song with Taylor Swift, which appears on her latest album.
