Instead of attempting to bridge the waiting time between Tool albums, it looks as if Maynard James Keenan is set to venture into the business of coffee roasting. When he’s not writing monolithic industrial ballads, Keenan business himself at his Arizona-based winery, Caduceus Cellars.

As Loudwire report, back in January, a tweet from Cadecus Cellars incited a reply from Twitter user suggesting that “If Maynard really wants to take over the world, he’ll start selling Caduceus gourmet coffee.”

Keenan replied to the tweet, confirming that he was currently working on his own brew, set to arrive by 2022.

“Two years,” Keenan responded. “Heard it here first. Mark it.”

“As in Roasting. Not just bagging,” he wrote in a follow-up tweet.

We could have never anticipated Keenan’s foray into the world of boutique beans, but now that we know it’s on the cards, we want nothing more than for our veins to pulsate with his signature brew.

Last month, Tool were forced to postpone their scheduled North America tour dates amid the COVID-19 crisis. “Stay home, stay healthy and please, wash your hands,” the band shared in a statement announcing the cancellation.

The Tool tour was just one of many live music gatherings that have been forced to postpone or cancel their events in the wake of the pandemic. Splendour In The Grass, Coachella, and Under The Southern Stars have all postponed to a later date, whilst Bluesfest and South by Southwest were forced to cancel their 2020 instalments.

Earlier today it was revealed that large concerts and gatherings in America will most likely not return until 2021. You can read more about that here.
