The cast of Tom Hanks’ 1996 film That Thing You Do! are set to reunite for a benefit livestream.
Taking place over Zoom, the show will see The Oneders, the fictional band featured in the film, reunite for a special performance. Co-star Liv Tyler will provide commentary.
The performance aims to raise money for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. It is also an occasion to honour to legacy of songwriter Adam Schlesinger, who passed away of COVID-19 complications on April 1st. Schlesinger wrote the Oscar-nominated title theme for the film.
The show will be broadcast on YouTube this Friday, April 17th at 7pm EST. You can find the announcement below.
