What do you get when you team Monoglia’s finest metal export with one of the most talented metal guitarists in recent memory? A metal banger named ‘Song of Women’.
Released today, the collaboration cooked up by the metal gods sees The Hu enlist Lzzy Hale of Halestorm for the face-obliterating track.
The video for ‘Song of Women’ was filmed prior to the coronavirus quarantine – another intervention by the metal gods we suspect.
Lzzy Hale says of ‘Song of Women’:
“I’m so thankful to The Hu for welcoming me, my words and my melody into this song,” says Hale. “I can count on less than one hand the number of times where a project has changed the course of my spirit and renewed my faith in humanity. This was one of those projects. I’m still levitating.”

It’s a timely release from our Mongolian metal overlords. May is filled with events honouring women – like Mother’s Day and Women’s Health Week – but it also kicks off the pre-order for the Deluxe edition of the band’s critically acclaimed album, The Gereg, out July 10th.
‘Song of Women’ marks the third track exclusive to the Deluxe edition, which will be available in CD, double vinyl and Digital formats and features three acoustic tracks.
Praise for The Hu just keeps on growing. From Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach calling the band “the real deal”, to Elton John calling them “My band of the year!” on his Beats 1 Rocket Hour show, The Hu have been making waves across the globe with sold-out shows and festival appearances with their signature brand of “hunnu rock”.

The band have only gone from strength to strength since the release of ‘Yuve Yuve Yu’ featuring Danny Case of From Ashes To New. The track was the band’s first-ever radio single and peaked at #4 on the rock radio charts in the US.
Just can’t get enough of The Hu? You can catch them on the silver screen soon too if you like.
They play a small part in horror-thriller movie The Retalliators, starring Michael Lombardi (Rescue Me), Marc Menchaca (Ozark, The Outsider) and Joseph Gatt (Dumbo). The band even contributed Wolf Totem’ featuring Jacoby Shaddix to the soundtrack. The film is set for release later this year.
