Get ready to read your children a book written by your favourite rockers, as Guns N’ Roses are working up a children’s book based on their hit song ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’.
Due out in September, Guns N’ Roses Sweet Child O’ Mine book will be released in both hardback and e-book formats, and will be in collaboration with author James Patterson.
The adorable picture book will take fans on a journey through the lyrics of ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, and weaves it into a new story that will prove as the perfect method of turning your darling angel into a proper rock’n’roll fan.
In a statement received by People, James Patterson said the new book “is a story that I know kids will love reading and that parents will love singing along to,” as the story “celebrates love and music, and how they bring us together in the sweetest ways.”
Set to be illustrated by Jennifer Zivoin, the book is inspired by “the adventures of Maya and Natalia Rose” – one being the daughter of the rock collective’s manager Fernando Lebeis, and the other being his niece – who have managed to have “grown up touring with the band”.
“We ourselves have been part of the ‘Guns family’ for over 30 years…being able to bring this into a children’s print book is truly special and a fun milestone in our lives…” Lebeis have stated.

You can grab a preorder of the book for yourself (and your kiddies!) via Amazon, where the title is set to release on September 1st, and will take you and your child on a journey of love and music.
