Donald Trump has been making a lot of decisions about COVID-19 that many people around the globe find to be unwise. Queen’s Adam Lambert has recently spoken out asking the U.S. president to be quiet and “let the medical professionals step in.”

Musicians have definitely been voicing their opinion on the current COVID-19 crisis, and how Donald Trump has handled it. Former Skid Row member Sebastian Bach has spoken out calling voters of Trump “complete fucking idiot[s]”, while Kanye West has copped ridicule for supporting the President.

Now, Queen frontman Adam Lambert has spoken out about the current COVID-19 situation, and how he thinks Trump needs to step aside with his chats, and let medical officials step in.

Talking with CNBC‘s Tania Bryer, he chatted on about how him and the band have handled lockdown with them recording new music, their recent honouring of healthcare workers, and how he thinks the U.S. government is handling COVID-19.

“There are cases where I’m very proud of the leadership — government leadership [at the] state [level], like our governor here in California [Gavin Newsom]. The mayor of Los Angeles [Eric Garcetti] — really wonderful leadership. I do think on a federal level, it’s a little bit chaotic,” he stated.

“I kind of have to temper how much news I actually watch, ’cause I find it very frustrating,” he revealed. “Also, I think a lot of the news and information coming out, it’s turned into a political thing, and really, at the end of the day, I really wish that it was more focused on the health and safety of everybody and not how this turns into a bipartisan thing. It’s a very us-versus-them, red-versus-blue, and I just think this is not the time to be getting stuck there.”

When asked about what he think President Trump should do in order to flatten the curve of the spread, Lambert noted that “it’s more that I want him to do less.”

“It seems to me that when he has a press conference and he speaks, it just makes things worse. So maybe if he would just let the medical professionals step in, I think if he delegated a little bit more responsibly, that might be good.”
