Rage Against the Machine and Run the Jewels were set to join forces on a mammoth seven-month tour in celebration of the rap-rock band’s glorious return. Unfortunately, as coronavirus would have it, the band’s were forced to postpone the tour of a lifetime over the virus outbreak.
This oughta soften the blow. A fan has released an incendiary mash-up of Run The Jewels instrumentals with Zack de la Rocha’s inimitable vocals. Produced by SoundCloud DJ Skarface, ‘Rage The Jewels’ has been given the tick of approval by Run The Jewel’s own El-P.

Skarface has made a version of ‘Rage The Jewels’ with separated tracks available to download for free on Bandcamp. The DJ has also offered a name-your-price download option is also available, with proceeds from the downloads going to the National Lawyers Guild.
Amid the Black Lives Matter movement unfurling internationally, many musicians have been confronted by fans on their political ideology. In a particularly hilarious interaction, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine had a standoff with a Twitter troll who completely missed the point of Rage Against The Machine.
Earlier this month, Morello took to Instagram to share a screenshot on an interaction he’d had in the comment section with a user called @davez67.
“Another successful musician instantly becomes a political expert,” @davez67 wrote.

Morello quickly pointed out that his right to an opinion stemmed from him being an honours graduate of political science that he obtained from Harvard University.
“One does not have to be an honours grad in political science from Harvard University to recognise the unethical and inhumane nature of this administration but well, I happen to be an honours grad in political science from Harvard University, so I can confirm that for you,” Morello replied.
