Queen + Adam Lambert have premiered their new video series Lockumentary.
Billboard reports that the first episode in the new series went live on YouTube on Friday, June 26th. Titled Roadies in Lockdown, the episode explores life on the road with Lambert and the Queen crew.
“Every time I’m on tour with Queen I really enjoy it – it’s a fun tour to do,” Queen stage manager Andy Bews says in the clip. “They are such lovely people and we have an amazing crew and we are surrounded by a lot of nice people. It’s a really well-oiled machine. It’s a good thing to be a part of.”

Footage in the first episode takes fans behind the scenes of soundchecks in South Korea, Japan and even our native Australia in Brisbane.
Bews also gives insight into the band’s wardrobe essentials. According to Bews, every Friday on a Queen tour is Hawaiian Shirt Friday. Which is surely something everyone should be getting behind…
While the release date of future episodes is still TBC, there is a good indication of what’s to come.
According to Queen’s YouTube channel, the series will “[explore] the roles of various crew members on the road and behind the scenes with one of the world’s most successful touring acts.” There’s also the promise of “a few well known faces and cameo appearances along the way.”

Adam Lambert has been particularly vocal about politics recently. Earlier this month, he stood with Black Americans and the Black Lives Matter movement, taking aim at Donald Trump and those who spout that ‘all lives matter’.
“Repeat after me: I will not tell black folks how to feel, protest, or mourn,” he wrote on Instagram. “I will do everything in my power and beyond to advocate & protect black lives.”
