As 2020 continues to amaze tire us with its seemingly endless shitshow of events, the latest doozy to have us once again questioning our sanity comes in the form of Forbes’ recent interview with the always wildly unpredictable Kanye West.
Within the rollercoaster of a chat, Yeezy claimed he contracted the coronavirus back in February and spoke out against a COVID-19 vaccine.
“Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it,” Kanye said of allegedly suffering the virus.
“I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!”
Voicing his suspicion over the coronavirus vaccine, Kanye slammed the potential life-saver as being “the mark of the devil”.
“It’s so many of our children that are being vaccinated and paralysed,” he claimed. “So when they say the way we’re going to fix COVID is with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast. They want to put chips inside of us, they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven.”

Despite his apparent brush with the deadly disease, Ye was adamant that a little bit of ‘rona wasn’t going to stop him announcing his bid to run for president this year – despite not having lodged any official paperwork.
“God just gave me the clarity and said it’s time,” West said. “You know I was out there, ended up in the hospital, people were calling me crazy. I’m not crazy.
“Between all of the influences and the positions that we can be put in as musicians… It can drive you crazy, through all of that I was looking crazy because it wasn’t the time. Now it’s time. And we’re not going crazy, we’re going Yeezy, it’s a whole ‘notha level now. N-O-T-H-A.”
Among some other nuggets off goss within the wild interview include Yeezy denouncing his support of US President Trump, telling the publication, “I am taking the red hat off, with this interview.”
“It looks like one big mess to me,” he said. “I don’t like that I caught wind that he hid in the bunker.”
2020, everyone.
