What do you get when you combine 2020 feels, a vivid pop sensibility and the visual mastermind behind some of the most iconic Australian music imagery in recent memory? The brand new single from GG McG,  ‘Good Morning’.

Written on Garage Band, produced by Gab Strum (a.k.a Japanese Wallpaper) and mixed and mastered by Konstantin Kersting and Andrei Eremin, ‘Good Morning’ epitomises 2020 for almost everyone in the southern hemisphere. Australia battled bushfires, a global pandemic and a music industry brought to its knees in 2020, and each day we would wake up to confronting updates about it.

“’Good Morning’ is about the total, complete chaos of the past year and the feeling of waking up every morning, reading the news and being blown away by just how much worse things were than the day before,” GG McG (Giulia Giannini McGauran) says.

McGauran isn’t just a talented music artist, she’s kicking global goals as a visual artist too. As the Creative Director for some of Australia’s biggest acts like Tones And I, The Rubens and Tash Sultana – just check out her cover shot for the March issue of Rolling Stone Australia – it’s any wonder the video is so fun.
