Aussie country icon Casey Barnes has announced he’s hitting the road again, gracing the country with a 10-show national tour.
The Back In Town tour will see the ‘Sparks Fly’ singer-songwriter, hit up spots around the country from April to October, with new shows announced across Queensland and New South Wales.
Supported by Arts Queensland, the Back In Town tour will also feature a bunch of festival appearances by Barnes, at the likes of the Tree of Knowledge Festival in Barcaldine, the Red Hot Country Festival on the Sunny Coast, the Country to the Coast Festival in Gosford, the Gympie Music Muster in, you guessed it, Gympie, and rounding it all off at the Goulburn Valley Country Music Festival in Shepparton, Victoria. Suffice to say, this country lad has got a whole lot of festival gigging goodness coming for us.
“Restrictions are being lifted, live music is back and I’m so excited to announce my Back In Town tour which goes on sale this week! We’ll be bringing along some very special guests for this tour and we’ve been working hard to bring you guys a brand new live show which will see us performing all the songs you know plus some new stuff too!” Barnes said.
For his show at the Red Hot Country Festival, Barnes will be supported by Taylor Moss and her band, The Buckleys, and a host of other country acts too.
Despite the setback of the global pandemic last year, 2020 was still a successful year for the singer-songwriter, seeing him nominated for ARIA’s Country Album of the Year with his ARIA #1 Australian Country Album, Town Of A Million Dreams.
Now he’s set for an even bigger year in 2021, with nominations already rolling in and the country artist heading off with his live show around the country.
