Ha ha ha! Errrr, oh dear. It looks like even ghetto royalty like Snoop Dogg want a piece of royal wedding action and Snoop has gotten in early with a track charmingly entitled ‘Wet’, which he has declared to be written especially for Prince William’s buck’s night which would be some time before his wedding to Kate Middleton at the end of April next year.
Tha Doggfather’s website announced “When I heard that the Royal Family wanted to have me perform in celebration of Prince William’s marriage, I knew I had to give them a little something”. “‘Wet’ is the perfect anthem for Prince William or any playa to get the club smokin’.”
While Prince William and his playboy brother Harry are reportedly hip hop fans, it appears that Snoop is playing up to tabloid rumours that William had invited him to perform at his engagement party. The party is expected to be organised by William’s brother Prince Harry, who is known to like a drink and dressing up in Nazi outfits, so it would appear that anything could happen.
A spokesperson for the Princes said “As Snoop Dogg has stated on his Twitter page, he has written a song for Prince William’s engagement party. With regard to that, and that party, and the details of that party, it’s too early for us to know more at this stage.”
As for the song ‘Wet’? It’s a rather monotonous auto-tuned to buggery number with the sort of smutty lyrics we’ve come to expect from Snoop. Check it out here
