Johnny Borrell has an entirely deserved reputation for being ‘challenging’ to work with, so it’s no great surprise that all of his band have walked out on him over the last 18 months. Swedish founding members Carl Dalemo and Bjorn Agre walked out of the band late last year, following the departure of drummer Andy Burrows in 2009.
Hence, Borrell has revealed the band’s new lineup, which sees him joined by drummer David ‘Skully’ Kaplan, new bassist Freddie Stitz, and guitarist Gus Robertson. The band will debut the new line up as they headline the Guilfest Festival in Guilford, Surrey in the UK.
Guilfest is known in the music industry as the place that ‘bands go to die’. In this instance it looks like this could be where Razorlight’s life support is turned off.
