19-year-old alt-pop artist sombr is set to make his debut headline tour in Australia and New Zealand this December.
Sombr, who has rapidly become one of the most exciting new talents in the alt-pop scene, will perform headline shows at Auckland Town Hall, Melbourne’s Festival Hall, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall (see full dates below). These shows will complement his previously announced appearances at Spilt Milk festival.
Sombr, whose real name is Shane Boose, began his musical journey in a makeshift bedroom studio. Having studied classical music at New York’s LaGuardia High School, his creative direction shifted significantly during the COVID pandemic, when isolation drove him to teach himself music production and develop his emotive sound.
His breakthrough came with “Caroline”, a self-produced song released when he was just 16 years old that has since amassed over 45 million streams on Spotify.
Sombr’s monthly Spotify listeners now exceed 28 million, with singles such as “would’ve been you”, “do I ever cross your mind”, “back to friends”, and his latest release “undressed” cementing his status as a rising star.

Sombr has also demonstrated his collaborative prowess, teaming up with Rachel Chinouriri (2025 BRIT Nominee and support act for Sabrina Carpenter) for a remix of her hit “All I Ever Asked”.

His live performances have garnered significant praise, with Concert Chronicles describing his shows as “both mesmerising and electrifying,” while My Life in Sound declared his performances “not to be missed.”
The upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour follows his successful North American tour earlier this year and precedes his support slot for Nessa Barrett in the UK and Europe.
