TV on the Radio have announced three East Coast shows to complement headlining Meredith Music Festival later this year.
The indie rock band will hit Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on December 2nd, The Tivoli in Brisbane on December 4th, before playing at the festival, set for December 5-7th. They will finish up at the Forum Melbourne on December 8.
At Meredith, they’ll be joined by the likes of Japanese girl group Atarashii Gakko!, indie pop musician Perfume Genius, Syrian dabke-techno pioneer Omar Souleyman, and UK drill rapper Pa Salieu.
The tour comes off the back of the band’s recent runs in Europe and UK, and the US. They’ll wrap up in the US before heading to Mexico City for the Corona Capital festival. Then they’ll make their long-awaited visit to Australia, marking their first performance down under in a decade.

TV on the Radio formed in 2001 by vocalist Tunda Adebimpe and multi-instrumentalist Dave Sitek. What started as a serendipitous project between the two went on to become a leading indie band, with five acclaimed records across two decades. In the 10 years since Seeds, each of the members have explored other creative side projects, ranging from the studio to the screen.
Their live reemergence offers Australia’s East Coast a rare chance to see Adebimpe, Kyp Malone, and Jaleel Bunton in full flight. Sitek remains a part of the legacy of the band, an ever-present piece, but is unable to participate in the live shows.
