Former Fugees front man Wyclef Jean has been shot in the hand. Rather than being the lucky survivor of a gangsta drive by, the circumstances are still mysterious, with the star being released from hospital in his homeland of Haiti to recover at home.
Joe Mignon, a spokesperson for Jean’s Yele Foundation, informed the media that Jean received a gunshot wound in his hand around 11 p.m. local time Saturday in the city of Delmas, which is just near the country’s capital Port-au-Prince.
Jean had previously run for the Presidency of the Caribbean island nation last year, but called it off when he realised that he hadn’t lived in the country in the last five years and didn’t qualify to run for office.
