Ah ha ha! Anyone remember the Vengaboys? Perhaps you had your first pash to them at a blue light disco in Eltham or Baulkham Hills Blue Light Disco back in ’99? Are you hankering after the moment you had your first sloppy spit swap and want some of those rose glasses memories of your first teenage fumblings?
Well fear not because if you like your cheesy Euro House disco as a summer highlight the ‘band’, featuring a surprising number of original ‘members’ are set to hit Australia shores for a summer tour.
Possibly reflecting the sophisticated level of humour the Tone Deaf crew possessed circa 1999, the band have a new album and while we haven’t received a review copy yet, we suspect that it will be as good as the title suggests … yep it’s called Rocket To Uranus!
That’s pretty much all you need to know – leave your taste, class and sophistication at the door and party like it’s 1999.
