MGMT have recorded a cover of Bauhaus’ All We Ever Wanted Was Everything as part of their up and coming edition of mix album series, Late Night Tales, due to be released early next month. They’ve got some big shoes to fill, previous makers of the famous mix albums have been the Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol and most recently Midlake.

MGMT have definitely put their own touch on the Bauhaus classic and luckily, they haven’t made it terrible. It’ll be much more exiting to see what tracks the Brooklyn duo will deem worthy of releasing on the iconic mix albums because as we all know mix albums are invariably a cool detector and no band tries harder than MGMT.
