No sooner did they unpack from their near-sold out Mermaids & Other Sirens tour Jinja Safari are off again, this time in support of a new release through Cooperative Music, Locked By Land. The album compiles previously released EP tracks with new songs and bonus material including remixes by Sydney’s Fishing and Melbourne’s Butcher Blades.

To be released on October 28, Locked By Land is a neat bookend to a dream 18-month run – from the band’s first gigs, to national supports on Boy & Bear and Art Vs Science tours and festival slots on Big Day Out, Falls Festival, Good Vibrations and Splendour In The Grass (twice!).

The tour and release are also a celebration of Jinja Safari being the first signing to the Australian arm of UK label Cooperative Music, putting them in the same stable with Phoenix, Bloc Party and Fleet Foxes.

The tour is on sale now and special ticket and pre-order packages are available at the Jinja Safari site, where a free download of new single ‘Moonchild’ will also be available for a limited run.
