Florida pop-punk outfit A Day To Remember have given fans an insight as to why their upcoming record has been pushed back to 2020.
Ever since they released their first album back in 2005, fans of A Day To Remember have never had to wait too long for a new album. In fact, the three-year waits for their last two albums have been the longest to date.
However, back in August, the group revealed that they would be releasing their seventh album, You’re Welcome, on November 15th. Unfortunately, just days before it was due, the group revealed they would be pushing things back a little bit.
“A couple of months back we announced we’d be releasing our album Nov. 15th,” they explained. “It’s taken a little longer than expected and we just aren’t done with it yet. So we are moving this to early 2020.
“Rest assured, there’s a lot of new music coming out very soon and we can’t wait to share it with you. Thanks for supporting us all these years and see you out there on the Degenerates Tour.”

Now, in an interview with US radio station WSOU (via Blabbermouth), A Day To Remember guitarist Kevin Skaff has shed a little more light as to why things have been delayed.

“It got pushed back because the art for the record isn’t done yet,” he explained. “We still can’t find a good cover for the record.
“I know it doesn’t really matter nowadays, with streaming and everything, but we just want everything to be perfect before it comes out. And there are still a couple of songs that are still getting mixed that we just need to find the right mixer.
“It’s only getting pushed back — what? — two [or] two and a half months, so it’s not too bad. It’s not like a Kanye thing where it’s never gonna come out.”
Of course, it appears as though the delay will be worth it, with Kevin explaining that it’s “a longer album” that features “a little something for everybody on it.”
