September 9th is the kick off date for BIGSOUND 2015, and though the speaker panel line up and the live music roster is the biggest and best we’ve seen in BIGSOUND history, one important part of BIGSOUND we haven’t written about yet is the parties.
Every year companies, musos and music fans alike band together to throw some of the best parties of the year. With so much on, it can get a little overwhelming, but don’t sweat we’ve done all the hard work so you don’t have to.
We’re put together a cheeky little guide to some of the best BIGSOUND parties you’ll be kicking yourself if you miss.
Title Track ‘Big Free’ Pre-Party
When: 8pm Tuesday 8th Sept
Where: The Brightside 27 Warner St
Booze Situation: Sailor Jerry rum specials & Mountain Goat Beer kegs
The folks at Title Track had so much fun launching the whole ting at The Brightside last year that they decided to throw another pre-BIGSOUND party to kick the week off in style, with a lineup featuring HOLY HOLY, Tired Lion, Rolls Bayce, Skegss, and more.

Humblebrag

Booze Situation: Open Bar! Free fried chicken!
STEP x Paradise Music Festival x Collarts have put together one hell of a party for Humblebrag. The Brightside will be hosting an afternoon of complimentary beverages, culinary delights, and fresh musical fare from RaRa & NULL.

Rice Is Nice/ Spunk Records Party

Booze Situation: Free Beer!
Two of Australia’s most respected record labels are getting together to throw one hell of a party at Black Bear Lodge. It’ll be a “union of awesomeness” with free entry and free beer, as well as music from Angie, Aldous Harding, Darts, Donny Benet, Gold Class, The Ocean Party, Shining Bird, and Us The Band.

Deathproof Bigsound Pre-Party

Where: Crowbar 243 Brunswick St
Booze Situation: Icy cold beers at bar prices
Deathproof are set to take over Crowbar with a massively heavy lineup featuring Australian punk legends Cosmic Psychos, with some extra muscle from High Tension, Born Lion, and Super Best Friends.

Dot Dash/ Remote Control Pre-Party

Booze Situation: Free Stone & Wood beer ’til the keg runs out
The legends at Remote Control have partnered with the good folks at Stone & Wood Brewing to present the Dot Dash Pre-BIGSOUND Party. There’ll be free beer from 8pmuntil the keg runs out and music from Sui Zhen, Milwaukee Banks, Sunbeam Sound Machine, Methyl Ethel, Jeremy Neale, Pearls, and more.
