Ageing punks AFI have teamed up with Slacker radio to launch Radio AFI, an internet radio station which features songs from the California band, as well as artists that inspired their sound and running commentary from band members.

Frontman Davey Havok said:

“Radio AFI is a truly eclectic mix of music including songs that inspire us and what we love to listen to. Slacker is doing new and innovative things with music and we’ve enjoyed building this experience to provide our fans with a personal look into our world”.

Drummer Adam Carson, bassist Hunter Burgan and guitarist Jade Puget also contributed along with Davey in selecting music for the station, which apparently includes everyone from Jimi Hendrix and Nine Inch Nails to Marvin Gaye and Bad Religion. What, no Britney?
