Virtual Aussie music festival Isol-Aid was one of the first online music experiences that emerged as the scene pivoted amid the coronavirus crisis.

The premise was simple. Lineup a stack of local artists to stream on Instagram Live and raise money for music charity Support Act, and now after $80,000 has already been raised throughout the series, Isol-Aid has announced its first late-night party.

Isol-Late will take place this Saturday, May 16th, with organisers partnering with Jägermeister to bring a club night to your lounge room. The action kicks off at 10pm.

Among the names announced to perform are hip-hop star Allday, DJ and producer KLP, and Indigenous DJ Dameeeela, with intermissions provided by The Huxleys & Tanzer.

From the looks of things, it may well be the first of many Isol-Late parties, with organisers calling it ‘Iso-Late #1’, and pitching it as “Isol-Aid’s newest ‘n naughtiest big sister.”

They’ve even set the scene with a short story behind the first edition of Isol-Late. “It’s Saturday night. You’ve got your friends back… You’ve moved from the kitchen table to the lounge room floor and are ready to party,” reads the official website.

So who is this party for? “For those who miss the smell of sweat dripping off the walls of their favourite late-night haunt. For those who crave the dancefloor. We’re bringing something new to your dancefloor.”

“Like an Ice Cold Jägermeister shot for your eats, nothing will get you bouncing off the walls quite like [it].”

They also have a page of resources for musicians who may have been affected by coronavirus, with resources to help acts take advantage of the support made available by the government at this time.
