Damon Albarn, currently on tour with Gorillaz, has hinted that Blur may be getting back together for some band activity, with Albarn revealing that the band had recently met up to discuss plans for next year. “We did talk about doing something in January, something small, no career-based world domination ideas” he said. Albarn also took the opportunity to lash out at the Simon Cowell and the X factor TV shows, something he’s not been shy of doing before. “They’re processed through this thinly disguised talent show which is actually for one record label,” Albarn says.”They have a sell by date and I’m sure there’s a filing cabinet in Simon Cowell’s office with the sell by dates of all those people. What happens to them after? Where’s the soul in it, we need soul, we need it more than ever now you know.”
