UK emo whizz-kids As It Is have announced their triumphant return to Australian shores. The band will be heading down under next February in celebration of their third album, the incredible The Great Depression.

“This record started off life as an exploration of the question ‘Do we as a society have a fetish for mental illness?’” explains frontman Patty Walters. “Do we romanticise or glorify a sickness? It was important for me to do some soul-searching around that question. Are we part of a scene that actually does more damage than good in terms of the way we talk about these issues?”

The four-date tour will see the band kick things off at Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide on Wednesday, February 12th, the band will then head to Crowbar in Sydney on Thursday, February 13th, The Brightside in Brisbane of Friday, February 14th and finish with a band at Stay Gold in Melbourne on Saturday, February 15th.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10 am on Friday, October 4th. Live Nation pre-sale begins at 10 am on Thursday, October 3rd. You can find all the essential information below.
