After one whole month full of literal trials and tribulations, rapper A$AP Rocky has been freed from Swedish prison, alongside two of his entourage members.

Rakim Mayers, who performs as A$AP Rocky, was jailed following a physical dispute outside a burger joint on June 30. He was arrested alongside friends David Rispers and Bladimir Corniel for the alleged assault of 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari.

It was claimed that Mustafa Jafari was mistreating a woman on the streets, which caused the altercation to begin.

Senior District Court Judge Per Lennerbrant has ordered their release pending a verdict. Prosecutors were pushing for a six-month sentence for the rapper, to which defence submitted that community service be enough.

The final ruling is due August 14. Currently, the release of the three individuals points to a possible acquittal.

A$AP took to Instagram to write:

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my fans, friends and anyone across the globe who supported me during these last few weeks, I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for all of you. This has been a very difficult and humbling experience. I want to thank the court for allowing me, Bladi and Thoto to return to our family and friends. Thanks again for all of the love and support.”

The period of time A$AP Rocky was imprisoned saw multiple artists banding together under the hashtag #FreeA$AP, with some even proclaiming to boycott Sweden for life.

On top of this, there was Kim and Kanye West pleading to the White House for his freedom, with Donald Trump promising a phone call with the Prime Minister.

And then Justin Bieber jumped in, it was a whole fiasco.

Speaking of Donald Trump though, the U.S. president took to Twitter to take credit for the release of the rapper, even making one or two puns along the way.

Many on Twitter have already exploded over the use of the term “rocky week”, implying that Trump had anything to do with Rocky’s release.

There aren’t many fans of Trump trying to sound ‘down the kids’, but ultimately it’s good to see A$AP out of imprisonment.
