Halloween is just a few sleeps away and students around the country are in the midst of muck-up day celebrations, which is normally cause for jubilation and glee, unless you happen to care about things like racism and cultural sensitivity.

For the most part, both occasions are indeed filled with carefree mirth, but as Melbourne emcee Baro recently reminded us, there’s always that one idiot who thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to don blackface as part of his or her Halloween or muck-up day costume.

Baro recently took to his official Facebook page to call out any of his peers thinking of harking back to a time when white Americans would paint their faces black to act out incredibly offensive stereotypes about African-Americans as part of their getup.

“Please white people DONT paint your face black this Halloween,” he wrote. “YOU FUCKING IDIOT WHAT IS GOING THROUGH YOUR HEAD BITCH YOU DONT DESERVE YOUR PRIVILEGE ONE BIT.”

“FUCK UR MUM N UR DAD TOO FOR CALLING OUT UR CRACK HABIT BUT NOT HOW YOU ATTEMPTED TO GO AS BLACK FACE TO HALLOWEEN OR YR 12 MUCK UP DAY. FFFFFAIL UR EXAMS BITCH RUIN UR LIFE!!!!” a clearly incensed Baro continued.

As Billboard reports, it being 2015 and all apparently hasn’t had much of an impact on society’s understanding that wearing blackface isn’t okay. Recently, a Florida student proudly posted photos of herself as rapper Nicki Minaj.

That unfortunate stunt follows a widely circulated story involving a schoolteacher in Alabama, who decided to wear blackface as part of a Kanye West costume. The incident led to an investigation from his local school system.

Baro recently celebrated his 18th birthday by dropping his debut EP, 17/18, which followed on from his widely acclaimed mixtape HOWGOODISGOOD. That release earned him comparisons to the likes of Earl Sweatshirt.
