Musicians touring Australia and their fans will soon be able to kill two birds with one stone when they arrive in Brisbane. Eatons Hill Hotel have announced their $45 million Stage 2 development site, which will add, among other things, a 4.5 star motel to the venue.
In a move set to improve the location for music fans, touring artists, and local residents alike, the owners of the Eatons Hill Hotel, which recently won Queensland’s best Entertainment Venue for the third year in a row, will soon begin their extensive redevelopment plan.
The new Eatons Hill Hotel will boast “an 88-room, 4.5 star motel; multiple function spaces; a restaurant precinct; gym with pool; 15 retail stores; and a 3200m2 Woolworths”, so tour managers don’t have to scramble around to fill out those riders.
“By introducing Eatons Hill Village we will be able to offer accommodation, function spaces and multiple dining options to anyone who wants to make their concert experience more enjoyable and hassle free,” said Robert Comiskey, director of hotel owners The Comiskey Group.
“Not only that, but it will be ideal for touring acts to be able to relax in style less than two minutes from the Eatons Hill Grand Ballroom.” The venue regularly hosts large-scale local and international acts, including upcoming gigs from Common and Talib Kweli, The Rubens, and Steel Panther.
“Eatons Hill Village has been 5 years in the making and its design and services will be something you would see in The Valley. We are taking it to the next level,” Comiskey added. The major development is set to be completed by mid-2017.
