There’s two new music festivals coming to Aussie shores this year.
The first is Moove Music Festival which will be held in Moogerah, Queensland, kicking off this Saturday 30 May.
As the Queensland Times reports, the inaugural event will feature the likes of New Empire, Slip-on-Stereo and Airports and will expect at least 1000 punters.
This is an exciting new venture for the folk of south-east Queensland, with organiser Carroll Simons noting that around this time of year there is a definite gap that needs to be filled, “there are very few festivals here for young people to attend” she said, “we’ll have two stages and multiple acts during the eight-hour family event.”
In addition to this, Moove Music Fest have enlisted the aforementioned headlining performers to host workshops for up-and-coming musicians, “it will be a very rare opportunity for bands and musicians to be tutored by professional artists” Simons said. Heading down the coast to Sydney arrives the second freshest festival face on the Aussie market, Electro Circus, an entirely indoor event that will take place Saturday 5 September, as inthemix point out.
As the name suggests, the new festi will pertain to the world of electro, bounce, trap and trance, boasting of 25 acts both national and international over three stages. Jump over to their Facebook for all the latest updates.
There’s plenty of new music festivals for revellers to check out this year, there’s the mysterious Summer camp-typed festival, the cool event at a Ski Resort, Melbourne’s wholly unique music and arts experience not to mention the festival taking over an entire town, and of course, the winter blues killer of in the north.
