Originally formed in Wellington New Zealand almost 10 years ago, live scene veterans Batrider are back with a new album and Australian tour. Now a three piece, their new long player Piles of Lies consists of 16 songs recorded with Kynan Lawlor in Adelaide after the band returned to Australia broke and manic, vaguely New Zealand sounding, and tipping its hat to the sounds of the 90s. Batrider have gone through a number of line-up changes to become a trio comprised of Sarah Chadwick, Sam Featherstone and Stephanie Crase.

The new album comes after the release of  several critically acclaimed albums, including Tara and Why We Can’t Be Together, numerous EPS and vinyls, enough touring to see them in debt and perpetually broke.  Batrider’s sound is one of considered noise and marked by brutal and passionate song-writing that has become a live favourite.
