The excitement for the forthcoming album from Beck is growing, with the musical chameleon releasing the video for his latest single, ‘Uneventful Days’.
After returning with his first taste of new music since 2017’s Colors with ‘Saw Lightning’ back in April, fans have been eager to learn more about the new album from Beck.
Having formally announced last week that Hyperlife would see its official release on November 22nd, the musical icon went one better by dropping the audio for ‘Hyperlife’ and ‘Uneventful Days’, a two-track combo that opens the record.
Now, one week on, we’ve received another delicious taster, with Beck sharing the video for the previously-released ‘Uneventful Days’.
Kicking things off with the audio for ‘Hyperlife’, the clip is directed by Devonté Hynes of Blood Orange, and delivers a hazy, surreal feel we feel all the emotions in such a short period of time.
Featuring scenes shot in a diner, an overworked man at a cluttered desk with Beck posters on the wall, and a man crying in his car while wearing a ‘Devil’s Haircut’ t-shirt, it’s an intriguing clip that leaves you wanting more.
Featuring guest appearances from Evan Rachel Wood, Alia Shawkat, and Tessa Thompson (who partially recreates the clip for ‘Devil’s Haircut’ thanks to her nifty outfit), the video helps to capture the overall Beck aesthetic, while still serving as an awesome accompaniment to such an impressive tune.
