Iconic pop artist Belinda Carlisle has announced she’ll be commemorating the 30th birthday of her classic 1989 album Runaway Horses with an Australian tour in February and March 2019.
Carlisle is the artist responsible for the hit ‘Heaven Is A Place On Earth‘, a song which saw her hit number one in both US and UK charts. She began her career in 1978 as lead singer of new wave band The Go-Go’s, who would go on to achieve worldwide acclaim with tracks like ‘We Got The Beat’ and ‘Our Lips Are Sealed’.
Released two years after Heaven On Earth, Runaway Horses was Carlisle’s third solo album. A particular success here in Australia – where it was certified double platinum – Runaway Horses included a number of top 10 hits, with singles ‘Leave A Light On’, ‘La Luna’, ‘Summer Rain’ and ‘Vision Of You’ all making a splash in the charts. Carlisle’s last album was 2017’s Wilder Shores.
Australian legends 1927 – whose hits include ‘That’s When I Think Of You’ and ‘If I Could’ – will be joining Carlisle on all dates of the tour.
