If you’re looking for something to watch tonight, then you’d best make your way to Netflix, where Beyoncé’s Homecoming has just premiered.

Almost one year ago today, music history was made when Beyoncé became the first African-American woman (and second-ever female artist) to headline Coachella in the festival’s history.

In addition to this noteworthy feat, Beyoncé’s performance ended up being one of the most-talked about festival sets of all-time. In fact, while many called it “historic”, the performance has become so noteworthy that it even has its own dedicated Wikipedia page.

So what did you miss? Well, in addition to a 32-song set and 100 dancers onstage, the 125,000-strong crowd was also treated to a reunion from Beyoncé’s old group, Destiny’s Child. Let’s face it, if ever an event was designed to ‘break the internet’, this was it.

Now, 12 months on, a documentary on this iconic performance has been released via Netflix, with Homecoming premiering earlier today.

Described as an “intimate, in-depth look at Beyoncé’s celebrated 2018 Coachella performance”, this documentary seeks to discuss “the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement” of this now-legendary performance.

With plenty of exclusive footage, interviews, and other intriguing insights, the documentary is undoubtedly set to be one of the biggest of the year, with the #BeyonceHomecoming hashtag currently topping Twitter’s trending topics.

Of course, if you’re not the documentary film type, Homecoming: The Live Album, has just been released onto streaming services around the world (but not Spotify, for obvious reasons).
