It’s been an interesting week in the life of Billy Corgan. On Saturday, the iconic Smashing Pumpkins frontman took to Instagram to reveal a photo of himself hooked up to an IV drip, topped off with a caption that hinted he wanted to spend his “remaining time” “making peace with God”.

After sending fans into disarray, Corgan has again taken to Instagram to update fans on his current life happenings, which thankfully don’t involve any more hospital trips.

In the caption to the image below, Corgan details that he has had “a crazy life. Good crazy, but crazy nonetheless” and continues to explain the current status of the band, detailing that they were in the studio with Rick Rubin.

“Which leads me to this time, or this moment, where like so many, I share a window (curated as it is) into my crazy life. As an example, we are currently in the studio with Rick Rubin. But unless I show you a picture of Rick sitting Buddha-like at a mixing desk, you probably wouldn’t know that. ”

He’s also posted other image of the studio the band are supposedly working in at the moment.

A studio still life #art!

The band’s reunion with the original lineup was teased months ago, however it was revealed that original bass player D’arcy Wretzky was not invited to join in the festivities.

“My apologies to all of the Smashing Pumpkins fans out there who are excited about this oncoming reunion tour of the original members of the band,” she said. “I know this is a huge disappointment for me, as well, but it’s not going to happen [with me].” Wretzky adds that she “only just found [out] yesterday that the band has decided to go with a different bass player.”
