Our favourite Splendour In The Grass punter, Bindi Irwin, has been busy wowing audiences and judges alike on the latest season of the US Dancing With The Stars, partnered with professional dancer Derek Hough.

However, her feet have been paying the price for all that dancing glory. As Cinemablend reports, the intensive dancing has resulted in Irwin’s toenails actually falling off her feet and needing to be superglued on.

“They are all superglued because I actually lost another nail in dress rehearsal and if it pops off, it bleeds,” she said. “I have holes in my feet and the toenails keep falling off, but if I superglue them down, they don’t rip as much and they don’t hurt as much.”

They’ve even proved troublesome when she’s not dancing. “At one point, one of my toenails flew off and flew past [boyfriend Chandler Powell]. He said, ‘Oh. It’s a good thing I love you.’ It was just so gross but I felt so bad,” Irwin recounted.

However, there’s no denying that her hard work has been paying off. Irwin, the daughter of the late Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin, is a favourite on the show, with many labelling her a refreshing presence on the series.

One of the most memorable dances of the latest Dancing With The Stars season came when Irwin and Hough performed the iconic final routine from Dirty Dancing, even executing the famous lift.
