It’s a bit rich coming from someone who frequently tongue kisses his band mates on stage, so we’re pleased to hear that Black Lips’ Jared Swilley has apologised for an outburst of homophobia in which he called Wavves frontman Nathan Williams a faggot.
He’s said he was drunk and angry at the time and it was “something that comes to you naturally as such a part of our nomenclature, just when you’re pissed at someone or you don’t like somebody.” Just to prove that he’s not homophobic, he has a session of tonsil hockey with the interviewer from The New Gay.
