Bloc Party’s upcoming tour of Australia has just gotten that little bit bigger, with the indie-rock legends announcing an extra show on their visit Down Under.

Back in July, we announced that Bloc Party were set to make yet another trip to Aussie shores later in the year, performing their debut album, Silent Alarm, in full. An instant classic upon its release in early 2005, the group quickly became favourites of music fans around the world, with three of the group’s tracks making their way into the Hottest 100 that year.

After the initial announcement seemed to resonate with fans enough for their Sydney show to sell out, the group unveiled a second date at the Hordern Pavilion. Now the band’s dedicated South Aussie fans are set to get a bit of love as well.

Taking place just a couple of days before the rest of the tour, Bloc Party are set to hit up Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on Wednesday, November 21st. This news also happens to coincide with the group’s unveiling of a couple of New Zealand shows as well, indicating that the entire Oceania region just can’t get enough of the legends.

Joining the band on their upcoming tour will be Haiku Hands, the Sydney trio whose eclectic mix of dance, hip-hop, and punk has made them into a must-see live act. With the group’s awesome tunes frequently receiving widespread critical acclaim, they’ll feel right at home alongside the iconic indie-rockers as they tour the country.

Even still, thirteen years after the record was released, Silent Alarm sounds just as groundbreaking as it did back in February of 2005. Despite the fact that two of of Bloc Party’s founding members are no longer part of the group, the band are set to deliver a series of performances in November that fans won’t soon forget.

Tickets to this new gig are on sale from Friday, August 24th at 10am (with pre-sales kicking off one day earlier), so make sure you don’t miss out. Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane dates are also selling fast, so don’t be alarmed if this whole tour ends up being a sell-out affair.
