Following on from a huge lineup last year including Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, ZZ Top, Grace Jones and more the promoters of the Byron Bay Bluesfest this year promised to deliver an equally impressive list of acts saying the the lineup will consist of “some big superstars, some of which have never played Bluesfest before. Of course there will be the old time favourites (who just can’t seem to stay away from Bluesfest) coupled with some of our much cherished artists”.
Have they delivered on their promise? We think so with The Who’s Roger Daltrey set to headline playing classic album Tommy as well as a few other classic tunes. Joining Daltrey will be legends Earth Wind & Fire, The Pogues who have just announced an Australian tour, and a mixed bag of those old favourites such as John Butler Trio.
