The Byron Bay Bluesfest 2016 freight train simply can’t be stopped now. Having recently announced the addition of superstar rapper Kendrick Lamar, organisers have now added another huge international name to the lineup and announced even more sideshows.

Leading today’s announcement is none other than Academy Award and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Melissa Etheridge, who will be taking the stage at Bluesfest and a string of major sideshows to play from her new album, This is M.E., and all her greatest hits.

Known for her iconically smoky vocals, thought-provoking lyrics, and her riveting stage presence, Etheridge is a world-class performer who will share personal stories about her remarkable journey through life and the inspiration behind some of her most beloved songs.

Meanwhile, those fans who can’t make it to Bluesfest or who are looking for some one-on-one time with their favourite artists can now enjoy sideshows from Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Decemberists, The Word, Nahko and Medicine For The People, and more.
