Only weeks out from its commencement, Bluesfest have yet again amped up the already hysterical excitement and anticipation for this year’s festival, announcing a slew of local and international lineup additions.
Australia’s premier showcase of what the world’s best in blues, roots and soul will now see Citizen Cope, Clayton Doley’s Bayou Billabong, Hussy Hicks, Hayley Grace & The Bay Collective, Little Georgia, Miss Renee Simone and, Bali Blues Brothers join the ranks, set to bring their unique and electrifying live shows to the mellow Byron Bay festival grounds.
They’ll be joining the likes of Robert Plant, Lionel Richie, Tash Sultana and more, in what’s shaping up to be one of the festival’s most diverse and exciting lineups to date.
Organiser Peter Noble has said, “We love announcing more artists at Bluesfest! After eight announcements here is the last one for 2018 and it’s a beauty. It includes two international artists, one great Aussie Soul Blues Band, plus a whole bunch of Byron region”
In addition to the lineup announcement, extended bus services aiding transportation to and from the festival have been revealed. In addition to the busses that run in the Byron region each year from Ballina to Ocean Shores, J&B Busses have added a service that will run from Pottsville to Chinderah stopping in Hastings Point, Cabarita, Casuarina, Kingscliff and Chinderah.
